    A Mountain Of One
    Their debut EP was one of the bestselling records of 2006 and still sells bucketloads since its recent reissue, so you can imagine that we're more than a bit partial to A Mountain Of One. This time around the record is clad in an expensive looking gold reflective sleeve and the music is no less polished. Opener "Innocent Live" reaffirms any lingering comparisons with Fleetwood Mac and Talk Talk, a stunning harmonized driving tune that threatens to take you the place of Midlake or The Beauty Room in your affections. An instrumental reprise only serves to ratchet up the atmosphere another notch. "Your Love Over Gold" sounds like a drug-fuelled Clapton ballad (good thing) at least until the soar-away ending takes off, "People Without Love" changes tack by mixing a grungier London vocalist and jagged chords in with the Balearics (think Ian Dury meets Café Del Mar) and "Arc Of Abraham" completes the cycle in the required manner. Now only one questions remains, just how much better can these get?
